A groundbreaking endeavour in the field of Irish historical research.
Spearheaded by Professor Jane Ohlmeyer and the School of Histories and Humanities at Trinity College Dublin, this project has set out to challenge and expand the traditional narratives of Irish history by bringing to the forefront the experiences and voices of ‘ordinary’, non-elite women who lived through a period of profound change from circa 1550 to circa 1700.
We partnered with the VOICES project to bring history to life.
This initiative peels back the layers of early modern Ireland to spotlight the resilience and voices of ordinary women. The web design project helps promote this historical treasure trove.
