Iron Ladies Golf Society

The Requirements

We were asked by the Iron Ladies Golf Society to create a website that had personality yet was still easy to use for members of the society.

• A fun and inviting website design
• Update the sites content themselves
• Add a list of upcoming events and matches
• Somewhere to allow members to view weekly match results
• The bulk of the site should be kept private and only for members viewing

The Solution

We created a warm and fun website which has personality. The use of green, orange and tan give the site a natural earthy look and feel. By adding in the trees and grass at the bottom of the site this effect is magnified.

Edit Everything

The site administrators can edit the current content, create new pages, news articles, upload gallery images and much more. All in a very easy to use WordPress system.

Members Area

Each member is given their own individual login details. They login and then they can view the complete website.

Small details count

Simple things like the texture added into the main menu at the top of the site show attention to detail. If you scroll to the bottom of the site and then resize the browser window from either side you will see the golf cart move and and the tress also move which gives a really nice surprise. This effect is called Parallax Scrolling.

Weekly Results

We decided to create a newsletter to deliver the weekly results to members via email. This is much more convent for people than having to remember to visit the website each week to get the results. We created a newsletter template to be used with MailChimp. This means that the content of the newsletter can also be updated by the society whenever they want and they have a email template that matches the look and feel of the website.
