Hostbox
Hostbox is a new hosting business from Hidden Depth. The aim is to take the hassle out of hosting.
The design of the site had to match the simplicity of hosting your website with Hostbox. I used a simple color scheme and clean solid icons. The logo is solid & strong which matches the colors used. The use of friendly human languages works very well with the relaxed and cursive fonts. Google fonts were used for the typography. The use a the large image which is shaped like a cloud gives the general feel of hosting without having to used the tired images of servers or computers.
There is a simplistic confidence to the design. The fact that Hostbox is something good and we know it means we don’t have to talk your ears off to prove it. It also means we don’t need to confuse people with endless charts & pricing options.
People who use hosting usually don’t care about all the technical details and just want something that works how it should and someone who can help if needed. This is what Hostbox does. If someone needs a new email account setup they just email Hostbox. If they need to register a new website and setup Google Apps they don’t need to be a technical expert, they just tell us what they want to do and we advise on whats best and can then set everything up for them if needed.
Everything is coded using HTML5 to help keep everything future ready and will benefit SEO in the future. HTML5 also means the site performs and adapts very easily on mobile devices.
The site also has a separate support & knowledge base section located at support.hostbox.ie. The site is also used as the login point for the control panel for your hosting plan.
